This piece is a physical translation of Khan’s titular poem, which posits that beauty is first felt before it is ever perceived. Through a complex mixed media process involving patient stippling, watercolor, and ink, the artist captures a "sweet realization": while our vision can often be a serpent—misleading and superficial—true beauty resides in the heart. It is a work of quiet resistance that invites the viewer to move beyond sight and into the space of genuine feeling.

A visual translation of a recurring internal monologue: “Wondering why you’d rather be elsewhere, Wondering why you’re wondering why.” Leveraging her expertise in Communication Design and 3D typography, Khan extrudes and distorts this poetic refrain to create an iridescent landscape of introspection. The work contemplates the recursive nature of searching for an "elsewhere," only to find ourselves spiraling deeper into the question itself as language and thought echo into one another.
