Artist career and professional practice

This site follows a practical approach to building and sustaining an art career: creative work should be supported by clear professional systems. Those systems include studio organization, documentation, pricing, sales, gallery and representation relationships, exhibitions, contracts, copyright, taxes, grants, residencies, and respectful working relationships with institutions and collaborators.

The guiding principle is that artists need both a strong creative practice and clear business processes to protect their work, communicate expectations, document agreements, and make sustainable professional decisions. This section is a site-specific summary of that approach, not a quotation from or substitute for professional advice.
